Surrounded by pine-clad mountains and spectacular views, Dalhousie is a gem of a hill station in India. Located in western Himachal Pradesh, it has a quaint and laid-back atmosphere. The scenery is very vivid with flowering rhododendrons and dense forests filled with pines, oaks, and deodars. The town was established by the British as a summer retreat for their officials. Referred to as the Queen of Himachal Pradesh, Manali is an ancient town that is located at an altitude of nearly 2050 meters in Kullu district. Manali is blessed with breathtaking natural beauty that comprises lofty snow-capped peaks of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal, thick forests, fruit orchards, beautiful hamlets and meado.

Itinerary

Day 1Hello Shimla

Arrive Delhi Airport/ Railway Station/ Bus Stand and transfer to Shimla Overnight Journey( 350kms 8 hrs) and at shimla bus stand pick up & transfer to hotel & check in to the Hotel, Afternoon half day, In this day move to city tour visiting “INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ADVANCE STUDIES” At 1983m,this splendid British resurgence structure was the former Vice regal Lodge. Its green grassy lawns and pine forest are additional attractions. Visit the top attractions e.g. Lakkar bazaar, Rani Jhansi park, Scandal point and famous kali bari temple..Night stay in Shimla.

Day 2Shimla – Kufri

Morning Proceed for the sightseeing of Kufri, situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hours ( 15 km) drive from Shimla and a popular ski resort during the winter months. This trip is packed with adventure as you can have horse riding, yak riding and forest walk, and evening time in jakhootample. Night stay in Shimla.

Day 3Shimla to Manali

After morning tea and breakfast proceed to Manali (248km 7hrs). One of the finest valley views of Kullu or Beas valley. One the way many stop overs are there as Bilaspur, Sundarnagar, Mandi,Kullu , Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata temple and Naggar castle. Stay and dinner at hotel at Manali.

Day 4Manali – Rohtang Pass

Early morning visit the Solang Valley, which offers a spectacular view of glaciers and snow capped peaks. A place not to be missed is Rohtang Pass, 51 kms from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions and road being open). Rest of the day is at leisure OR take a stroll down the Mall road. Night stay in Manali

Day 5Manali Local

Early Morning take a walking tour of Manali, visit the 450 year old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving Tibetan Monastery and a Handicraft Center.Either spent Rest of the day at leisure or have a walk to nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for hot sulphur springs. Night stay in Manali

Day 6Manali to Dharamshala

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to Dharamshala, Dharamshala a little town famous for the Dalai Lama and Tibetan culture also known as the Mini Tibet. On arrival at Dharamshala have a visit to Bhagsu Nag temple and falls and overnight stay in Dharamshala Hotel.

Day 7Dharamshala - Dalhousie

After breakfast, be ready to come across some of the famous attractions of Dharamshala. One of these is the Dalai Lama temple, Int. cricket stadium, War Memorial, St. John’s church, Dal lake after that process to Dalhousie approx. 120 km. Night stay at Dalhousie.

Day 8Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Dalhousie

After breakfast we will proceed to Khajjiar, Khajjiar is situated at a height of 6500 feet and bestowed with natural beauty and pleasant climate. Often referred to as ‘mini-Switzerland of India’, along with visit Khajjiar Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, ShubhashBawoli a picturesque site, named after Subhash Chandra Bose, Panchpula, Panchpula has always been one of the most favorite spots of tourists in Dalhousie. After that lovely visit to lakkarMandi and overnight in the hotel.

Day 9Dalhousie – Delhi Departure

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and get driven to Delhi airport/ railway station to catch your further flight/ train.
